Richard R. Barredo, Director, Executive Vice President, and Chief Lending Officer

Mr. Barredo began his banking career in 1973 as a lender to small and mid-size businesses for State National Bank. In 1982, he assumed responsibility for Connecticut National Bank's New Haven Community Banking Unit. In 1988, Mr. Barredo was named Senior Vice President and Senior Loan Officer at Bank of New Haven where he was responsible for the growth and quality of the bank's entire loan portfolio. Mr. Barredo's recent employment includes Chief Lending Officer for the Connecticut Development Authority and Chief Operating Officer of the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund and a Vice President and Managing Director of Connecticut Innovations, Inc. Mr. Barredo is a Director of the Science Park Development Corporation, New Haven, Director and Treasurer of the Connecticut Green Building Council. He has served on the Advisory Board of the Construction Institute of Connecticut and was a former incorporator of the New Haven Savings Bank. He holds a B.S. Degree from Quinnipiac University and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association's School of Commercial Lending.

Mark A. Candido, Director, President, and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Candido has extensive banking experience dating back to 1968 at the First Bank, New Haven, Connecticut, where he attained the positions of Assistant Vice President-Facilities Manager, Leasing Department Manager, and Senior Business Development Manager. He subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility at the Connecticut National Bank, New Haven Merchants Bank, and the Bank of New Haven, all in New Haven, Connecticut. Mr. Candido's most recent experience was at the Bank of New Haven from 1989-1997, which included positions as Senior Vice President, Commercial Loan Department Manager, Residential Mortgage Department Manager and Facilities Management Department Manager. From 1998 to the present, Mr. Candido has served as the Senior Business Development Officer/Sales Manager for CTX Mortgage Co., Milford, Connecticut. Mr. Candido also has served and serves on a number of non-profit civic and charitable organizations including, Chairman of Connecticut Community Investment Corporation, Past Trustee and Chairman of Finance Hamden Hall Country Day School, Fundraising Committee Professional Division for Easter Seals Goodwill Industries, Vice President of Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Connecticut, President and Director of the Amity Club, Chairman of the Banking Division, Hospital of St. Raphael Cancer Center, and Chairman of the Board of the Hamden Chamber of Commerce . Mr. Candido attended the University of New Haven, South Central Community College and Quinnipiac College and is a graduate of the University of Chicago School of Banking.

Richard A. Ciardiello, Director

Mr. Ciardiello is the owner of Ciardiello Insurance Agency which he founded in 1997. He is also the principal owner of Eli's Restaurant in Hamden. Prior to founding Ciardiello Insurance Agency in 1997, Mr. Ciardiello worked for the Richard Squeri Insurance Agency. Mr. Ciardiello is licensed by the State of Connecticut in both Property & Casualty and Life & Health Insurance. Mr. Ciardiello is a graduate of Quinnipiac University with a B.S. in Business Administration.


Carl R. DaVia, Director

He is president and owner of Harbor Associates, Realtors of Hamden, a firm founded in 1985 which specializes in brokerage, management and development of residential and commercial real estate in the greater New Haven area. Mr. DaVia has a long history as a real estate developer and actively develops subdivisions for new residential construction. Mr. DaVia is also a principal in Diversified Management Company, a property management firm, and New Haven Maintenance Company, and has holdings in an area restaurant. A native of New Haven, Mr. DaVia holds a B.A. in psychology from Quinnipiac University.

Sallie A. DeMarsilis, Director

Ms. DeMarsilis is Chief Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer at Movado Group, Inc in Paramus, New Jersey. Ms. DeMarsilis is a senior level financial executive with over 15 years of financial management experience. Prior to joining Movado group, Ms. DeMarsilis served as Senior Vice President- Finance at The Warnaco Group, Inc, a global apparel company. Prior to joining Warnaco in 2004, Ms. DeMarsilis was employed at Ann Taylor, Inc, a womenís specialty retailer, since 1994. Ms. DeMarsilis began her career at Deloitte and Touche, LLP, advancing to the position of Senior Manager, Auditing Services, at the firmís national office. Ms. DeMarsilis holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Carroll School of Management at Boston College, and is also a CPA and a member of CSCPA and AICPA.

Stephen J. DiCapua, Director

In 1987, Mr. DiCapua started and is President of First Whitney, Inc., a real estate consulting and management company providing brokerage, management and financing services for select clients and managing its own portfolio of real estate, development projects and loans. Prior to founding First Whitney, Mr. DiCapua was a Vice President of Commercial Lending with The First Federal Savings and Loan Association of New Haven. Mr. DiCapua is a member of the National Association of Realtors, North Haven Board of Education and the North Haven High School Building Committee. Mr. DiCapua was born in New Haven, grew up in Hamden, and is a resident of North Haven. Mr. DiCapua holds B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Connecticut.

Richard H. Fitzpatrick Jr., Director

He is President and owner of The Crest Auto Group in Woodbridge, Connecticut. Crest Auto Group includes five auto dealerships. Mr. Fitzpatrick has owned auto dealerships since 1976. Mr. Fitzpatrick is active in several non-profit organizations and professional associations. Mr. Fitzpatrick received a B.S. in Business Administration from Boston College in 1961 and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1967. Mr. Fitzpatrick is a resident of Guilford.

Brian P. McArdle, Director

Mr. McArdle is the President and CEO of Express Courier Systems, Inc., which he started in 1998. Courier Systems is located in New Haven and provides expedited transportation services for corporations, hospitals and laboratories throughout the Northeast. Mr. McArdle is also Executive Vice President of East Coast Executive Limousine, a Manhattan based company, providing corporate clients with executive limousine services. Mr. McArdle previously owned and operated two successful passenger transportation companies in the New York metropolitan area. Mr. McArdle resides in Southport and received a B.S. degree from SUNY in Oneonta.

Raymond W. Palumbo, Director

Mr. Palumbo is Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Underwater Construction Corp of Essex ("UCC"), a firm with five offices in the U.S. and three international satellite offices. Prior to joining UCC in 1996, Mr. Palumbo was a Vice President of Commercial Lending at Webster Bank, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Shoreline Bank from 1991 to 1994, and Director of Internal Audit for Connecticut Savings Bank from 1990 to 1991. Mr. Palumbo began his career at Coopers & Lybrand in Hartford. Mr. Palumbo is active in local civic and charitable organizations. Mr. Palumbo graduated summa cum laude from Quinnipiac University.

Gregory O. Scott, Director

Mr. Scott is a private investor and real estate developer. Prior to his current activities he was the President and owner of The William T. Beazley Company until its acquisition by Prudential Connecticut Realty in the summer of 2005. Under his leadership the Beazley Company grew to become one of the largest and most successful real estate companies in Connecticut with 22 offices and over 700 agents and employees. With a commitment to customer service the Beazley Company received national recognition and respect as a real estate industry leader. Throughout his career, Mr. Scott has volunteered his time serving on numerous real estate industry boards, committees and in many capacities in local charitable endeavors and organizations. Throughout his 25+ year career Mr. Scott has been dedicated to the support of a healthy local economy which fits in perfectly with the Bank's mission of providing a local banking alternative in the greater New Haven community.

Richard C. Simione, CPA, Director

Mr. Simione is a partner in Simione, Macca & Larrow, LLP, Certified Public Accountants and Business Advisors. Mr. Simione has over 30 years of experience in servicing closely held businesses and not for profit organizations around the country. Mr. Simione has served with the U.S. General Accounting Office and as a director of several local financial institutions. Mr. Simione is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Simione has presented numerous seminars on tax and financial management subjects. Mr. Simione is very active in local civic and charitable organizations and is presently Chairman of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Mr. Simione is a graduate of Providence College.

Richard Spero, Director

Mr. Spero has been the owner/operator of McDonald's Restaurants for 25 years and currently owns eight restaurants, including three at Interstate 95 rest stops. Mr. Spero is a founding member of the board of the Ronald McDonald House in New Haven. Prior to his involvement with McDonald's Restaurants, Mr. Spero was a Regional Marketing Manager for Sears, Roebuck & Company.

Lorenzo B. Wyatt, Director

Mr. Wyatt is co-founder and CEO of LB&O, LLC, which owns and operates the Mr. Handyman of Upper Fairfield (CT) County franchise. The firm, founded in February 2004, provides home improvement and repair services to over 140,000 qualified households in selected Fairfield and New Haven County townships. Prior to launching LB&O, Mr. Wyatt had a 30-year career with IBM, serving numerous sales and marketing executive assignments, including General Manger with IBM's Western Area, VP of Worldwide Mainframe Marketing, VP of Worldwide Server Sales, and VP of Coverage Transformation. Mr. Wyatt received a BS degree in Mathematics from Carson-Newman College, Jefferson, TN. He currently serves on the boards of The Boys Choir of Harlem and the First Tee of CT.
